EMPOWERING YOUTH
Through Supportive Services
Dorie’s House provides supportive services for youth, in order to build their resiliency and strengthen their foundations into adulthood.
We empower youth towards independence through skill building, by connecting them with family and community, and encouraging them to make positive choices around substance use, mental health, and safe shelter.
We believe it is important for our Participants to have a routine that promotes positive relationships with others, allowing them to have fun in healthy ways, but also connecting them to networks, skills and interests that will carry them forward.
Our Approach supports the Participant to: Develop healthy ways of coping; Learn and maintain new life skills; Connect to healthy relationships and resources/supports in the community; Find interests and vocational goals that will lead them into their adult life.
We want to make sure that our Programming and Supportive Services are accessible to the Youth who may need them. If ever you are unsure about the information on Programming, Admission Requirements, or How to Refer to an Emergency Bed do not hesitate to reach out to us: info@southwestyes.com, (306) 773-8937

What: 24-hour emergency housing support for youth who require shelter in times of crisis or transition.
Our goal is to connect our resident to a wide range of community supports, enveloping them in care so that they are empowered to make healthy and positive choices for themselves.
These supports might range from access to mental health and addictions treatment, to social services programming, or it may be as simple as a connecting youth to employment opportunities or a reconnection to education.
We believe that, by offering quality, preventative supports early – before they have “fallen between the cracks” – we can empower youth towards skill building and problem solving, substantially improving their quality of life, driving them towards positive health and life choices that will carry them into adulthood, allowing for long-term positive recovery.
